How we keep PlumHour safe — and where to find help.
Help is available
Hard moments happen, and they don't have to be faced alone — whether it's you or someone you care about. PlumHour's AI characters are not a substitute for professional help, and in a crisis they can't provide it.
In an emergency, or if you or someone else may be in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (for example 112 in the EU, 911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK).

How PlumHour keeps you safe
Safety is built into how PlumHour works, not bolted on. These protections apply to everyone, on every platform.
AI is always labelled
AI characters are clearly marked as AI throughout the app, and a reminder that their messages are AI-generated and may be inaccurate sits at the top of every room. AI characters are fiction — not real people, and not a source of professional advice.
Everything is moderated before it's shown
Every message, room, profile, character, and generated image — whether written by a person or produced by AI — passes an automated moderation pipeline before it appears. Content that sexualises minors, promotes hate, harassment, violence, self-harm, or illegal activity is blocked, in every room. Explicit sexual content is not allowed anywhere on PlumHour. AI characters run with safety rules that users cannot override, including redirecting people in distress to crisis resources.
Report and block
You can report any message, character, room, or person from within the app, and block anyone whose messages you no longer want to see. Reports are confidential and reviewed by our team. See our Community Guidelines for what's allowed and how enforcement works.
Adults only
PlumHour is strictly for people aged 18 and over. Every account confirms an 18+ date of birth at sign-up, and it cannot be changed later.
Protecting children
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Our Child Safety Standards describe how we prevent, detect, remove, and report such content, including to the relevant authorities.
